

On a positive note, the November update seems to have cured my intermittent Homegroup connectivity problems 'Network Path. I can however browse the wireless PC from the wired PC by typing '\\PCNAME' in the Run box. I’ve installed stupid other software listed, and none of it does what I have before. From the Explorer side pane, the wireless PC lists the wired PC, but the wired PC doesn't list any PCs under the network side pane. This is not listed on the WD site when I filter by my device. I cannot seem to find this software ANYWHERE anymore. I also have WD Access (?) installed on my laptop, which puts a WD icon in my system tray, and if I right click on that, it gives me options to go to either M圜loud on my network. The desktop was also working like the laptop until I reformatted. Now the laptop doesn’t show the my clouds anymore under network, however my mapped drives are still working perfectly fine on that machine. This WAS working perfectly on my 1 desktop before the re-format, and was working on 1 of my laptops. I want to mount folders from the network page (I have usb drives connected also). As a work around - I have pinned both to Quick Access from here, but this is not my ideal setup. I can access both my clouds IF I type in the IP address into file explorer. NAS brings up the Windows Security Enter network credentials.

I was able to connect to it by typing in the hostname. I had the problem of not being able to see my NAS on the Network view (open File Explorer, see the Network section within the Navigation pane on the left) with Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview - Build 10565. I have a My Cloud 1 bay (not home) and a PR2100. With this method, youd be running either TrueNAS or Windows, but not both at the same time. Cheers My Cloud® EX4100 Storage Device Firmware 2.10.310. I cannot however get the My Clouds to show up under the computer section. Kodi > Settings > File manager > Add source > Browse > Windows Network (SMB) > Your Workgroup name (usually 'Workgroup') > Your Network Share Name > Then move to the right and select OK The Shield TV and The NAS should be on the same Network, and check the workgroups name. Everything seems to be working among all pc’s. Both laptops are also running Win10.Īs soon as both desktops were set up and joined my network, I can see them in the COMPUTER section of the Network folder from both laptops and from eachother.

The 2 desktops are essentially new machines (1 is a completely brand new build running Windows 10 and the other got reformatted and has a fresh new install of Windows 10). I have 4 computers at home, 2 desktops, and 2 laptops.
