Michael forged this competition chopper with an integral guard. A hole has been drilled so you can add a lanyard for extra retention in hand - an important safety feature. A thick spine moves into a thicker convex belly providing easy forward momentum for chopping tasks. The thick cleaver style blade is hand forged from Michael's own carbon damascus to provide the toughness and edge retention needed for heavy duty tasks. This chopper actually won an award in the cutting competition and the medal accompanies the knife. It has never been used to cut and by all appearances could have been made yesterday. It has been in a private collection and is in new condition.
